El Niño is a percussion group, founded in 1999, from the southern region of The Netherlands, taking pleasure in playing with passion on stages and make-shift platforms wherever there’s public ready to party to Brasilian music. Our second CD contains original compositions and arrangements of Brasilian traditionals. El Niño’s performances are a turbulent mix of percussion, dance and chant in a dazzling variety of rhythms, and there was no need to think long and hard on a name: Turbulência!
